This small leaf style is similar in profile to the long leaf but not quite as floral. It has a crisp, refreshing taste without any vegetal or herbaceous notes. Established in 1859 and managed by a 4th generation owner, Makaibari is one of the oldest tea estates in Darjeeling and is committed to organic and sustainable tea farming practices. Brewing Guide
Use 2 tsp. (3g) per 6 oz. (175ml) cup. Heat water to185º F. Let steep 2 minutes. Green teas can usually yield 3-4 infusions. Adjust amount of leaf, brewing time and water temperature according to your personal preference.
