White Monkey Mao Feng, known as Bai Mao Hou, is a handcrafted green tea that is grown in the Taimu Mountains of Fujian Province. Harvested in the last two weeks of March from a picking of one bud and two leaves, White Monkey produces a pale yellow liquor with a rich, vegetal flavor, a delicate sweetness and a slightly dry finish.
The name Baimao Hou originates from the appearance of the long, wiry dried leaves interlaced with large white buds, which resemble the paws of a white-haired monkey.
