Jade Sprout, known as “Cui Ya” in Chinese, is a rare, handpicked green tea made entirely of single tea buds. Picked in early April before the Qing Ming Festival, the buds of Jade Sprout are flat and smooth, resembling sunflower seeds. It takes about 60,000 fresh tea buds to make one kilogram (a little more than 2 pounds) of dried tea. Jade Sprout has a soft and fresh fragrance with a light, delicate taste and a hint of sweetness.Note: This tea is organically grown but not certified.
